HandyPanda is a young local startup company, with the goal to NEVER take a cut from the work that is done via this service.

The honest truth: I’m just a bloke in Bristol who was fed up of shopping around, being ghosted, messaging reccs on facebook, waiting for availability etc. just to get routine jobs done, so I thought of starting this online service out of my bedroom. I called it HandyPanda because… it just sounded nice?

How it will work:

1. A potential customer who has a job that needs doing submits a request on the website, offering a fee (with rough guidance prices provided on the site), details of the job, a rough location, and a timescale they want it done by.

2. Registered local service providers will get an instant alert on their phones and/or via email, and they can choose to take the job if they have a gap to fill, or to ignore it, with no minimum obligation.

3. If someone says yes to the job, the job will become unavailable to everyone else. Then the service provider’s business contact details will be forwarded to the customer directly so that times, dates and payment arrangements can be discussed. The fee however, should remain the same as offered by the customer in the original job listing in order to ensure a smooth process.

4. Once the job is completed and confirmed by both the service provider and the customer, the job will be taken off the site.

Transparency: Signing up now holds no future obligation. Eventually, being registered with the job alerts service will be subject to a low, tiered subscription fee, but for the foreseeable future, this service will be completely free to all customers and service providers. A select number of early adopters will be given a lifetime discount/free lifetime subscription.

We will never take a commission on the jobs that are done.
